Kelsey has a strong love and passion for ballet since she was a little girl. She received her formal training at the Goh Ballet. Kelsey toured China, Japan and BC with the Goh’s youth ballet company. One of her highlights on tour was dancing as a soloist in the ballet Paquita, and original works.
Following her training she was accepted as a Corps de Ballet member at Orlando Ballet under the late Fernando Bujones. She performed many ballets including The Nutcracker, Gisselle, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Paquita, Stars and Stripes, and original works.
Kelsey is thankful for the experience of working with so many great choreographers and instructors including Lynnette Kelley, Choo Chiat Goh, Chan Hon Goh, Fernando Bujones, Gelsey Kirkland, Peter Stark, and many more.
Kelsey returned back home and was inspired to pass her knowledge and love through teaching. She completed her Royal Academy of Dance teaching certificate. She has now been teaching for over 10 years. She has successfully prepared and entered students in graded and vocational exams. Many of her students have been accepted to prestigious ballet schools and companies. Her students have gone to provincials for their ballet and her choreography has received many awards.
Kelsey has a love of seeing students improve. It is wonderful to watch students have growth and dedication to strive in dance. She hopes to pass her passion, dedication and love of ballet to her students.
